ATV snowplow
Are you having trouble finding reviews on ATV snowplows? You’re not alone. Not many owners have posted their opinions or rated their snowplows. However, if you get a lot of snow and want to save some time and potential backache, the ATV snowplow might just be for you. One of the things to look for in a snowplow is the breaks that prevent snow build-up on the plow’s blade.
Expect to pay between $200-300 for a snowplow. If you don’t already have a mounting kit or winch, then that can add about $100 to your purchase. (Keep in mind that discount stores online sell various mounting kits for as low as $75 and sometimes even lower.) Check that the kit can be used for the kind of plow you purchased.
Snowplows can also be used to move gravel and sand. Blades are usually 1/8” thick and made of steel. The ATV snowplow is generally 48’’, 50”, 54”, or 60’’ wide —make sure that you purchase the right sized plow for your ATV. To avoid damage to more expensive driveways or walkways, blade guards are a possible and approximate $50 option. Also, if you decide that your plow is too small, instead of purchasing another plow, you may want to consider just purchasing a rubber plow extension which can add up to about 6 inches to your blade. Such new and used plow accessories are available online as well.
